Syria, Qatar, Bahrain express support for Lebanon ceasefire
Syria, Bahrain and Qatar have welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire in Lebanon, expressing support for efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the region.
The Syrian Arab Republic said it viewed the ceasefire as an important development intended to prevent further escalation, Caliber.Az reports.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry underlined its support for efforts to preserve Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and expressed readiness to contribute to strengthening stability in Lebanon and the wider region.

Bahrain also welcomed the announcement by the US president of an agreement to halt hostilities between Lebanon and Israel.

Qatar, meanwhile, described the ceasefire as “a first step towards de-escalation”, stressing the need for compliance with the agreement and further progress to prevent the conflict from widening. Doha also expressed appreciation for US efforts, including the role of President Donald Trump, which it said had contributed to the deal.
