Syria, UAE and Qatar discuss economy and regional security in calls
Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa held separate phone calls with the leaders of the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, focusing on economic cooperation and regional security issues, according to the state news agency SANA.
In talks with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the two sides discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in the areas of economy, investment and development. They also reviewed regional developments and joint efforts aimed at strengthening security and stability in the Middle East.
During a separate call with Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, discussions centred on recent developments in negotiations between the United States and Iran under a memorandum of understanding.
Both leaders stressed the importance of continuing diplomatic engagement, coordination and consultations in order to ease tensions and enhance regional security.
