Syrian president, Qatari emir hold talks on cooperation and regional issues
Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa has met with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha, where the sides discussed bilateral relations and their development across various sectors.
They particularly focused on economic and investment cooperation, as well as strengthening trade ties, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
Syria’s Foreign Minister and Minister of Expatriates Affairs, Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, as well as senior officials from both countries, also attended the meeting.
The Syrian president reaffirmed Syria’s solidarity with the State of Qatar and other Arab countries that have been subjected to Iranian attacks.
The discussions also covered recent regional and international developments, as well as ways to coordinate efforts to ensure security and stability in the region.
