Tehran–Washington talks on agenda in Iran–Pakistan ministerial call
Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation on the evening of February 10 with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The two officials discussed a number of pressing regional and international issues and exchanged assessments on current developments, according to the press release shared by the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
According to a statement released by Iran’s Foreign Ministry, Araghchi briefed his Pakistani counterpart on the latest developments related to the indirect negotiations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, which are being held in Muscat.
He also explained Tehran’s position on the talks, emphasising Iran’s commitment to achieving a fair, balanced and equitable agreement.
For his part, Pakistan’s foreign minister expressed support for the diplomatic process, wishing success to the forthcoming negotiations. He underscored Pakistan’s readiness to offer any form of cooperation and assistance aimed at facilitating the progress and successful outcome of the diplomatic efforts.
