Tbilisi signals fresh start in strategic partnership with Washington

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has reiterated Tbilisi’s readiness to restore its strategic partnership with the United States “from a clean slate,” signaling a potential reset in bilateral relations.

Kobakhidze made the remarks during an introductory meeting with newly appointed US Chargé d’Affaires Amy Diaz, News Georgia reports.

The Georgian government said the meeting focused on its commitment to rebuilding the strategic partnership based on shared national interests and a clearly defined roadmap.

“At the meeting, the Prime Minister once again confirmed the readiness of the Georgian Government to restore the strategic partnership with the United States from a clean slate, based on a concrete roadmap focused on mutual national interests,” the statement said.
