Trump calls recent oil price jump temporary

US President Donald Trump said on his social media platform, Truth Social, that the recent surge in oil prices — which have topped $100 per barrel for the first time in over three and a half years — is only temporary.

The increase is linked to the conflict involving Iran, which has disrupted oil production and transportation in the Middle East.

“Short term oil prices, which will drop rapidly when the destruction of the Iran nuclear threat is over, is a very small price to pay for U.S.A., and World, Safety and Peace. ONLY FOOLS WOULD THINK DIFFERENTLY!” the American leader wrote.
