Trump sums up Davos trip: "So many things accomplished"
US President Donald Trump returned to the United States late on January 22 following a trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos, where he said progress had been made toward a framework agreement involving NATO and Greenland.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump described the Davos visit as highly successful, saying numerous objectives had been achieved, including the outline of a deal with NATO concerning Greenland. He also referred to the creation of a “Board of Peace,” using celebratory language to praise the outcome of the trip, Caliber.Az reports.
“What a great trip to Davos it was. So many things accomplished, including the framework of a deal with NATO on Greenland. Also, the BOARD OF PEACE. WOW!!! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte reached a general understanding on Greenland that would grant the United States broad access for defence-related purposes. The president said the draft arrangement would provide the US with what he described as “total access” for defence.
