Trump warns Iran: "Our patience wearing thin" as US military buildup intensifies
President Donald Trump emphasized that the United States' patience is "wearing thin," and urged Tehran to cease missile attacks on civilians and American soldiers.
In a subsequent post, he demanded Iran's "unconditional surrender," Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
This statement follows reports that President Trump vetoed an Israeli plan to assassinate Khamenei. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu downplayed the disagreement, suggesting, "I wouldn’t rush to conclusions."
The US has been bolstering its military presence in the region, deploying the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier from the South China Sea to join the USS Carl Vinson in the Arabian Sea.
Additionally, US Air Force refueling planes have been repositioned to Europe, and two destroyers in the Mediterranean have moved closer to Israel. Military families at US bases in the Middle East have also been granted permission to return home for safety.
The conflict between Israel and Iran has intensified, with over 200 fatalities reported in Iran and more than 20 in Israel due to airstrikes. Iran has launched over 370 missiles and hundreds of drones into Israeli territory in retaliation.
President Trump has expressed mixed messages, stating, "I think it's time for a deal," but also suggesting that the two countries may have to "fight it out" first.
