Türkiye cracks down on cybercrime: Over 80 suspects detained Video
Turkish authorities have carried out a large-scale operation against individuals wanted for cybercrime across 29 provinces, resulting in the detention of 89 suspects.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on X that 64 of those detained have been formally arrested, while nine are under judicial supervision, Caliber.Az reports.

Investigations into the remaining suspects are ongoing.
The operation, targeting major fraud networks, revealed that the suspects defrauded 388 people. Authorities also reported that transactions totalling 28 million Turkish lira were traced in the suspects’ bank accounts.
The minister shared details of the operation on his social media account, emphasising the government’s commitment to tackling cybercrime.
