Türkiye-Italy intergovernmental summit kicks off as President Erdoğan arrives in Rome PHOTO
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who arrived in Rome to take part in the 4th Türkiye-Italy intergovernmental summit, was officially welcomed by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni at the Villa Pamphili residence.
Erdoğan and Meloni then held a one-on-one meeting, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
The Turkish media sources say that the Summit has already kicked off.
The meeting is co-chaired by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
The summit is expected to focus on steps to enhance cooperation between Türkiye and Italy, along with discussions of current regional and global issues.
Several bilateral agreements aimed at strengthening the legal framework of relations are also set to be signed, and a business forum with participation from both countries' business communities is planned.
The event is being held behind closed doors at the Villa Pamphili residence.
The summit is expected to focus on steps to enhance cooperation between Türkiye and Italy, along with discussions of current regional and global issues.
