Türkiye slams Israeli PM's 1915 remarks as politically motivated distortion
Türkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned a recent statement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu concerning the events of 1915, denouncing it as a politically motivated exploitation of a tragic chapter in history.
In a statement posted on its official social media account on X, the Turkish Foreign Ministry accused Netanyahu of distorting historical facts for political gain, Caliber.Az reports.
The ministry highlighted that the Israeli leader, currently facing international scrutiny over his government’s actions against the Palestinian people, is attempting to deflect attention from his own alleged misconduct.

“Netanyahu, who is on trial for his role in the genocide committed against the Palestinian people, is trying to conceal the crimes committed by himself and his government. We condemn and reject this statement, which does not correspond to historical and legal facts,” the statement read.
