Defence minsitry: Ukraine strikes Russian territory with Neptune missiles

Ukraine carried out a missile strike on Russian territory using Neptune missiles, Russia’s Ministry of Defence said on December 19.

According to the ministry, two Neptune missiles were intercepted and destroyed by Russian air defence systems that were on combat duty, Caliber.Az reports.  

The Russian military said that between December 13 and 19 its forces had also shot down nine guided aerial bombs and a Grom-2 operational-tactical missile.

The statement did not provide further details on the location of the interception or any potential damage on the ground.
