Two killed, four injured in shooting in Spain’s Almería region

Two people have been killed and four others seriously injured, including two minors, in a shooting in the municipality of El Ejido in Spain’s southern Almería province.

Law enforcement sources said the shooting occurred late on May 18 at around 23:15 in the El Canalillo area near the settlement of Balanegra, Caliber.Az reports, citing Spanish media.

Units of the Civil Guard, including the Rapid Action Group (GAR), along with medical teams, were deployed to the scene.

Preliminary reports indicate that the suspect is a man who fled the scene after the incident and is currently being sought by authorities.

He is believed to be related to some of the victims.

The investigation into the circumstances of the shooting is ongoing.
