Two-thirds of Germans disapprove of Chancellor Scholz’s activity, new poll reveals
A recent survey conducted by the INSA sociological institute has revealed that approximately two-thirds of Germans are dissatisfied with Chancellor Olaf Scholz's activity.
The poll, which gauged public opinion on Scholz's performance, found that 67 per cent of respondents expressed dissatisfaction with his tenure, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
Only 26 per cent of participants rated his leadership positively, while 7 per cent were uncertain. The discontent extends beyond Scholz himself, with the current coalition government, comprising the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), the Greens, and the Free Democratic Party (FDP), facing even lower approval ratings.
According to the survey, 72 per cent of respondents voiced dissatisfaction with the government's performance, while just 20 per cent offered a positive evaluation. An additional 8 per cent of those polled were unsure of their opinion.
The survey, which included 1,001 participants, highlights growing frustration with Germany’s leadership at a time when the country grapples with significant economic and political challenges.
