UAE intercepts dozens of Iranian missiles, drones in fresh response
The United Arab Emirates’ air defence systems have intercepted 13 ballistic missiles and 27 drones launched from Iran, the UAE Ministry of Defence wrote on X, as reported by Caliber.Az.
Since the beginning of Iranian attacks, UAE air defences have reportedly repelled 327 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,699 drones.
The attacks have resulted in the deaths of two military personnel fulfilling their national duty, and six civilians of Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi, and Palestinian nationalities. Another 158 people were injured, ranging from minor to severe injuries, representing a wide range of nationalities, including UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Comoros, Türkiye, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Ghana, Indonesia, Sweden, and Tunisia.
The Ministry of Defence stated that it remains fully prepared to counter any threats and is committed to responding decisively to any actions aimed at destabilising the country, in order to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability, and national interests.
