Ukraine could finalise key deal at Davos Forum next week, Zelenskyy says
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine could finalise a key agreement next week at the Davos World Economic Forum, following upcoming meetings with US officials.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Czech President Petr Pavel, Zelenskyy noted that the Ukrainian delegation is already en route to the United States, and his team is actively working with the US side to discuss key documents and agreements, Caliber.Az reports via Ukrainian media.
“Meetings for our Ukrainian representatives in the United States are scheduled in the coming days,” Zelenskyy said, expressing hope that the discussions will clarify issues regarding the prepared documents and Russia’s response to ongoing diplomatic efforts.
The Ukrainian president also emphasised the need to finalise security guarantees and the country’s reconstruction package, noting that if all matters are agreed upon, the agreement could be signed next week at the Davos World Economic Forum.
“The issue is not to rush a signing today. What matters is that all aspects we discussed with our partners are included, so Ukraine is not left ‘barefoot and naked’ after the war, and so we have real financial support. That is what we are working on,” Zelenskyy added.
