Ukraine requests Bulgaria to supply weapons

Ambassador of Ukraine to Bulgaria Vitaliy Moskalenko has said that Ukraine has appealed to the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry with a request to supply weapons.

“So far, Ukraine has not received a response. I sent the note on June 3. It is impossible to receive an answer in such a short period of time, however, I will send similar appeals to other corresponding institutions, for example, to the Bulgarian Defence Ministry,” Moskalenko said, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to Bulgaria’s bTV.

"We need weapons, namely, howitzers and missile systems - old Soviet weapons that we can use," Moskalenko said.

He also said that 80 Ukrainian tanks would be repaired in Bulgaria.
