Under what articles Azerbaijani fitness trainer accused in Russia?
Articles have become known under which fitness trainer Kamil Zeynalli, detained in Russia, is accused.
He is accused under articles 135 (crimes against humanity), 137 (war crimes), 140 (war crimes using prohibited methods of warfare), 147 (involvement of mercenaries) and 149 (aggression) of the Criminal Code of Armenia, according to Unikal.
The trial of Kamil Zeynalli will take place on February 22.
Armenia put Zeynalli on the wanted list two days after the start of the Second Karabakh War (September 29, 2020).
On early February 21, the media and social networks reported that Azerbaijani fitness trainer Kamil Zeynalli was detained in Moscow.
Zeynalli posted a video on his Instagram account, where he said that he was detained by police at Moscow's Domodedovo airport and taken to the department, where he was told that he was detained at the request of Armenia, which had put him on an international wanted list.
A Moscow court is expected to make a ruling on Kamil Zeynalli on February 21, including the issue of extraditing him to Armenia.
According to the fitness trainer, he has been wanted since May last year: "This is the third time I am in Russia, but I have been detained only now. I hope for the support of our state structures. At the moment I am in the police station. I hope everything will be settled," he noted.
