US calls for to remove TikTok from Apple and Google app stores

Federal Communications Commission spokesman Brendan Carr called on Apple and Google to remove TikTok from their app stores due to secret data collection.

“I called on Apple and Google to remove TikTok from their app stores due to its secret data collection practices,” Prime reports referring to Carr's tweet.

TikTok collects a range of sensitive data such as search and browsing history, keystroke patterns, biometric identifiers, and message drafts, which new US reports show are available in Beijing, according to a Commission spokesman.
