US conducts new counter-narcotics operation in Eastern Pacific VIDEO
The United States military has carried out another operation targeting a vessel suspected of drug trafficking in the eastern Pacific Ocean, according to the U.S. Southern Command.
In a statement, the command said the operation took place on April 26 and resulted in the deaths of three individuals believed to be involved in narcotics trafficking.
“On April 26, at the direction of SOUTHCOM commander Gen. Francis L. Donovan, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations,” the statement said.

According to intelligence reports, the vessel was operating along known drug trafficking routes in the eastern Pacific and was involved in illicit narcotics activities.
Three suspected “narco-terrorists” were killed during the operation, while no US service members were injured, the command added.
