US embassy in Armenia urges its citizens not to visit five border districts
The US embassy in Armenia has urged its staff to be cautious in the country due to the armed conflict, pointing out that some districts of the country are especially dangerous.
“Be cautious in Armenia in connection with the armed conflict,” the message posted on the embassy’s website says, Caliber.Az reports on September 23 with reference to the Armenian media.
After the hostilities on September 13-14, 2022 on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, US embassy staff, and family members are prohibited from making any non-essential trips to five Armenian districts.
"Actions:
- Avoid these districts.
- Be aware of your surroundings.
- Follow the local media for updates.
- Follow the embassy on Facebook and Twitter.
- Read the US Security Report on Armenia.
- Prepare an emergency plan.
- Review the traveler’s checklist,” the message says.
