Iranian and Swiss foreign ministers meet ahead of US–Iran talks

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has held a meeting with his Swiss counterpart Ignazio Cassis in Bürgenstock, according to the IRNA news agency.

The meeting marked the first official engagement in the Iranian delegation’s visit to Switzerland.

Talks between Iran and the United States are expected to take place in Bürgenstock on Sunday, June 21, with mediation involving Pakistan.

Earlier, US Vice President JD Vance, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Pakistan’s army chief Asim Munir had also arrived in Switzerland ahead of the negotiations.
