Russia says 740 drones shot down in 24 hours

Russia’s Defence Ministry has said its air defence systems destroyed 740 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles over the past 24 hours, alongside 13 guided aerial bombs and two rockets fired from a US-supplied HIMARS multiple launch rocket system.

In a statement, the ministry said the interceptions were carried out by air defence units operating across multiple regions. It did not provide further details on the locations of the incidents or the timing of the strikes.
