US-led coalition aircraft violate Syrian airspace nine times in 24 hours
Deputy Head of the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria Oleg Ignasyuk has said that the centre documented nine violations of Syrian airspace by aircraft from the US-led international coalition over the Al-Tanf area in the past 24 hours.
"Over the past 24 hours, nine breaches of Syrian airspace regulations were recorded in the Al-Tanf area. These violations involved two F-15 fighter jets on two occasions, two A-10 attack aircraft twice, and an MQ-9 reconnaissance and strike drone from the coalition," Capt. 1st Rank Ignasyuk said, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
The center, a division of the Russian Defence Ministry, also documented six breaches of the December 9, 2019 deconfliction protocols by the coalition. These incidents involved drone flights that had not been coordinated with the Russian side.
No shelling attacks on Syrian pro-government forces were reported in the Idlib de-escalation zone over the past day.
Additionally, Russian reconciliation centre officers conducted a humanitarian mission in Mazloum, Deir ez-Zor province, distributing 600 food packages totaling 5.9 metric tons.
