US notes increase in potential operational compatibility of Ukraine, NATO forces
US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Robin Dunnigan has announced an increase in the potential interoperability of forces in Ukraine and NATO.
She made the corresponding statement during her speech at the Washington Atlantic Council, TASS reports.
"I would say that a lot has happened over the past 10 months that strengthen Ukraine's ability to be operationally compatible with NATO: the equipment they receive, the training they undergo, the systems they use," Dunnigan said.
She also drew attention to the fact that Washington has repeatedly stated that it continues to remain committed to the "open door policy" of the North Atlantic Alliance. As Dunnigan pointed out, "this also applies to Ukraine". According to her, representatives of NATO member countries need to focus on the fact that relations between Ukraine and the bloc are "advancing".
