US senator meets Iran's exiled crown prince, voices support for protesters Video
US Senator Lindsey Graham, who is known for his close ties to US President Donald Trump, said that Iran’s future leadership should be decided by its own citizens during a meeting with Reza Pahlavi, the exiled Iranian crown prince.
During the meeting, Graham stated that he is looking forward to the day when the Iranian people will have that opportunity, Caliber.Az reports.
“I believe with all my heart that help is on the way,” he added.

Graham also noted that the United States stands with the Iranian people against “the brutal regime.”
“We stand with the people of Iran and against the brutal regime. Make Iran Great Again,” he said.
Earlier, the senator urged Trump to target Iran’s leadership, arguing that such a move could strengthen the protest movement and contribute to stability in the Middle East.
Trump has repeatedly threatened to intervene in support of protesters in Iran, where thousands have reportedly been killed during a sweeping crackdown on demonstrations against clerical rule.
The unrest began two weeks ago as protests over severe economic conditions before rapidly escalating into the most violent disturbances Iran has seen since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, according to Iranian and Western officials.
An Iranian official said more than 2,000 people have been killed, while a rights group put the death toll at more than 2,600.
