US to send special assessment team to Georgia in April
The United States is planning to dispatch a special group to Georgia in April to conduct a detailed assessment of ongoing developments in the country, according to Levan Makhashvili, Chairman of the European Integration Committee of the Georgian Parliament.
Speaking to Georgian media cited by Caliber.Az, Makhashvili said the visit is part of broader engagement between Tbilisi and Washington amid discussions on the future of bilateral relations.
“The main starting point for resetting relations with America or cooperation with any other partner will always be Georgia’s national interests. We are not going to reset relations at any cost. The main priorities are peace, stability, and Georgia’s economic development,” he said.
Makhashvili emphasized that any effort to deepen cooperation with international partners, including the United States, would be guided by these core priorities.
