Uzbekistan Airways flight from Tashkent to Ufa rerouted to Kazan
A Uzbekistan Airways flight from Tashkent to Ufa (Russia) has been diverted to an alternate airport in Kazan.
The diversion was due to temporary restrictions introduced at Ufa Airport, Caliber.Az reports, citing Uzbekistan media sources.
UzAirways said it would provide passengers with detailed information about further flights and scheduling updates later.
Earlier today, Russia's Federal Agency for Air Transport (Rosaviatsiya) stated that the airports of Ufa, Kazan, and Nizhnekamsk had suspended the arrival and departure of flights.
Similar measures are already in effect in Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, and Tambov.
These restrictions are linked to the risk of drone attacks on Russian regions. On the night of November 3 to 4, the governor of the Voronezh Region reported the destruction of at least seven drones.
