Kuwaiti air defences engage "hostile aerial targets", army says
On July 14, Kuwait's armed forces said that air defence systems were engaging "hostile aerial targets" over the country's airspace, as Iran launched attacks targeting U.S. military facilities across the region.
"The Kuwaiti army said its forces were "currently engaging hostile aerial targets" in the country's airspace.
"Any explosion sounds that may be heard are the result of the air defence systems intercepting hostile attacks," the army wrote on the U.S. social media platform X.
The military urged residents to follow safety instructions issued by the authorities.
The statement came after Jordan and Bahrain said earlier that they had intercepted Iranian missiles and other aerial threats following Iran's attacks on U.S. military facilities, as regional tensions escalated.
