France has ranked first in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases over the past day.

 “Some 124,009 people have been infected with COVID-19 in France over the past 24 hours. There is no information about the fatal cases,” Caliber.Az reports citing the COVID-19 statistics in different countries.

The total number of COVID-19 infections in the country during the pandemic is 32,942,910. In total, 150,576 people died from COVID-19 in France.

Japan is the second most dangerous country in the world for the number of COVID-19 infections, which were detected among 99,291 people and killed 31 over the past day.

Italy comes in at number three in the daily infection rankings. Some 89,830 people have been infected with COVID-19 in the country over the past day.

Moreover, Italy has surpassed other countries in the number of fatal cases of COVID-19. More than 110 people died from the virus over the past 24 hours.

Mexico is also among the countries at risk. Some 85 people have died from the novel coronavirus in Mexico over the past day, while 34,567 people have been diagnosed with the infection.
