Why Israel chose to eliminate Hezbollah's Hassan Nasrallah?
Israel decided to eliminate Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, due to his refusal to separate negotiations regarding military actions in Lebanon from the war in Gaza.
According to the information from Israeli official, the decision to target Nasrallah was made after he repeatedly "rejected diplomatic efforts to separate the northern front in Lebanon from the war in Gaza" over the past 11 months, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
The official also noted that in recent weeks and months, Hezbollah's attacks have increased in scale, prompting the Israeli government to take this decisive action.
Notably, on September 28, the Israel Defense Forces announced that Nasrallah had been killed in an Israeli airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut. The strike occurred on September 27 during a meeting of Hezbollah's leadership.
A day later, the group confirmed the death of its leader and vowed to continue its resistance against Israel.
