Zelenskyy extends martial law, mobilisation for 90 days

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed decrees extending martial law and nationwide mobilisation for another 90 days, amid the ongoing war with Russia.

The press service of the Ukrainian parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, said that the extension is set out in decree 4857-IX, which takes effect from May 4, 2026, Caliber.Az reports.

Decree 4858-IX provides for the extension of general mobilisation in Ukraine from the same period.

Earlier reports indicated that the Verkhovna Rada had already extended martial law in the country for the 19th time, until August 2, 2026.
