Zelenskyy confirms strike on Ilsky oil refinery in Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine had struck the Ilsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai overnight on September 26, along with other facilities that he said support the Russian military.

Zelenskyy said a plant supplying the Russian Armed Forces with components for missiles and artillery had also been targeted, as well as a Pantsir-S2 air-defence system.

“Strikes were also carried out on logistics facilities supporting this war. There are results in the Black Sea as well,” Zelenskyy wrote.

The reported attack on the Ilsky refinery followed a fire at the facility in the Seversky District, near Krasnodar, reported earlier by independent Russian outlet ASTRA. Local authorities said three people were killed after drone debris fell in the area.

Current reporting also confirms that the Ilsky refinery was struck overnight, with Ukrainian authorities later acknowledging the attack.
