Zelenskyy: Ukrainian drones now reach every Russian refinery
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv's long-range strike campaign has reached every major Russian oil refinery, highlighting what he described as a series of successful attacks on infrastructure supporting Russia's military operations.
In a post on his official Telegram channel, Zelenskyy said Ukrainian forces achieved significant results over the past week through the use of long-range drones and other strike capabilities.
"This week, our military achieved important results in applying long-range sanctions against Russian facilities that serve this war.
Ukrainian drones reached Siberia and struck the oil refinery in Omsk—nearly 2,500 kilometres from Ukraine. Now there is not a single Russian oil refinery that Ukrainian weapons cannot reach.
We also responded to Russian strikes by targeting oil facilities in the Saratov, Rostov, Tver, Stavropol, Krasnodar regions, as well as Tatarstan and Bashkortostan. An airfield in the Voronezh region and a strategic enterprise in Tver were hit. Drones were also used against targets in the Moscow, Leningrad, and Bryansk regions.
Our plan of long-range sanctions against Russia is being carried out precisely. Thank you to all the units involved for their accuracy."
According to Zelenskyy, the strikes targeted oil infrastructure, military facilities, and other strategic sites across multiple Russian regions, including western Russia and Siberia, as part of Ukraine's ongoing campaign to disrupt assets linked to Moscow's war effort.
