Zelenskyy: Ukrainian long-range strikes hit Russian oil, military facilities

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has confirmed Ukraine had carried out a new series of long-range strikes targeting Russian energy, logistics, and military facilities, describing the attacks as part of efforts to increase pressure on Moscow.

In a post on X, Zelenskyy said Ukrainian forces struck an oil refinery and logistics centre in Russia's Ryazan region, about 360 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, Caliber.Az reports.

He also said Ukrainian forces targeted a base used by the Russian Black Sea Fleet's high-speed boats in Russian-occupied Crimea, as well as an oil refinery in Russia's Perm region and an export terminal and military enterprise in the Rostov region.

“I thank our warriors for their precision, and I thank everyone who makes these long-range results possible. Russia must feel that every day of this war will only come at a higher cost for it. We need to weaken the aggressor and keep up the pressure to bring an end to this war closer,” Zelenskyy wrote.

Earlier reports said a Ukrainian drone strike targeted industrial facilities in the Ryazan region, igniting a fire at the Ryazan Oil Refinery, one of Russia's largest fuel processing plants, as well as a nearby warehouse complex operated by the Russian e-commerce company Wildberries.
