European gas prices top $1,600 for first time since October

Exchange gas prices in Europe accelerated the growth rate to 9 per cent for the first time since October 13, exceeding $1,600 per 1,000 cubic metres.

Bidding began at $1,465.2 per 1,000 cubic meters. It is noted that the cost of January futures on the index of the largest European hub TTF reached $1604.5 (+9.6 per cent).
