Armenian PM complains to Russian leader about Azerbaijan
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said that there are great concerns in Karabakh about the blocking of the Lachin road by Azerbaijan.
Pashinyan made these remarks at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian media.
“Unfortunately, the situation in our region remains tense. Of course, the main issue is the Karabakh settlement. We also see an increased tension in Karabakh in the zone, where Russian peacekeepers are stationed. I am sure that you are informed that the Lachin corridor has recently been blocked. There are big concerns in Karabakh about this issue,” he said.
Pashinyan noted that the agenda of the meeting with President Putin includes several issues.
The Armenian prime minister expressed confidence that regional security issues would be discussed during the meeting.
The Armenian leader also noted that the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council was constructive. Almost the entire spectrum of economic issues was discussed.
“We have already talked about the growth of our mutual trade turnover, which is really impressive. I hope that it will be possible to maintain the momentum that has already been outlined after the EAEU mechanisms improve,” Pashinyan said.
