Türkiye tops list of countries for Russian real estate investment

The first three lines of the rating of the most popular countries for Russians to invest in foreign real estate took Türkiye, UAE and Georgia.
"The top five most popular destinations among Russians included (24 per cent of requests), the UAE (10 per cent), Georgia (9 per cent), Spain and Greece (8 per cent each)," TASS reports, citing the research data of the international real estate broker Tranio.
In addition, Cyprus, Thailand, Montenegro, France and Indonesia entered the top 10. Russian demand for foreign real estate rose by over 89 per cent between January and November 2022, outpacing that of most other CIS countries.
The interest in acquiring foreign housing is higher only in Moldova - twice as many purchases were made there during this time than in 2021 earlier. Demand in Armenia and Kyrgyzstan increased by 43 per cent and 44 per cent, respectively.
