Azerbaijanis continue protest on Khankendi-Lachin road for 53 days
KARABAKH 02 February 2023 - 09:17
Despite the frosty weather, the protest on the Khankendi-Lachin road against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in Azerbaijan's Karabakh economic region has been going on for 53 days.
Eco-activists, as in the first days of the demonstrations, are very active, a Report correspondent informs from the scene.
The protest which began on the morning of December 12 last year, continued on the night of February 2. The protesters demonstrate firm will and perseverance.
They are provided with hot meals and a place to stay overnight. Safety rules are observed during the demonstrations, no incidents were recorded during the night.
Eco-activists traditionally started the day with the performance of Azerbaijan's national anthem and then patriotic songs.
