Chairman of ANAMA and head of the Working Group Vugar Suleymanov stressed the vital role of demining operations within the broader “Great Return” programme aimed at restoring liberated territories.
Suleymanov revealed that since early 2025, a total of 27,204 hectares have been cleared of mines and other explosive remnants of war. This includes 8,318 hectares of residential areas, 9,176 hectares of agricultural land, 1,951 hectares designated for environmental assessment, 708 hectares of transport infrastructure, 628 hectares related to land reclamation and water management, as well as other priority zones.
