08 February 2023 17:13
The head of the Armenian parliament’s “Armenia” faction, Seyran Ohanyan, and an MP from the same faction, Armen Charchyan, have been stripped of their parliamentary immunity.
The vote on the motion by Armenia's Prosecutor General to approve the criminal case against pro-opposition MPs Ohanyan and Charchyan was held in Yerevan some time ago, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Yerevan-based newspaper Hraparak.
Narek Babayan, chairman of the Armenian parliament's counting commission, said 68 out of 107 MPs took part in the vote on Ohanyan and all of them voted in favour.
As for Charchyan, 66 MPs took part in the vote, all of whom voted in favour.
