Azerbaijan dismisses cooperation with EU mission in Armenia
The mission of the European Union (EU) in Armenia does not serve peace and security, but the interests of Armenia, according to the Chairman of the Board of the Baku-based Center for Analysis of International Relations Farid Shafiyev.
He added that this factor is enough to discourage Azerbaijan from cooperating with the EU mission in the future, Report writes.
On March 28, the head of the EU mission in Armenia, Markus Ritter, made an absurd statement that allegedly Azerbaijan is preparing to attack Armenia in the spring. Ritter referred to the statements of the Armenian side for his remarks.
In response, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry stated that the EU should not allow the Armenian side to abuse the presence of its mission to escalate tensions and evade its obligations.
