Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan leading in foreign trade surplus among OTS
In 2022, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan became leaders among the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in terms of a positive balance of foreign trade turnover.
According to Report, this is stated in the IV edition of the Turkic Economic Review, prepared by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications (CAERC).
The document says that last year the value of exports exceeded the value of imports in Azerbaijan by $27,132.3 million, and in Kazakhstan by $34,350.4 million.
In addition, according to the review, over the year, the Turkish economy grew by 5.6 per cent, Azerbaijan and Hungary - by 4.6 per cent, Turkmenistan - by 6.2 per cent, Uzbekistan - by 5.7 per cent, Kyrgyzstan - by 7 per cent, Kazakhstan - by 3.2 per cent.
The best indicator for the growth of state budget revenues was recorded in Türkiye. The budget revenues of this country almost doubled and amounted to 147,122.2 million US dollars.
