Azerbaijan to build pharmaceutical plants in Alat Free Economic Zone

The authorities of Azerbaijan plan to build several pharmaceutical plants on the territory of the Alat Free Economic Zone.
Report informs that Chairman of the Health Committee of the Parliament Ahliman Amiraslanov said this could help boost the domestic production of medicines, which is currently not at satisfactory levels.
“According to the information I have, specialists from Israel, fraternal Türkiye and other states have already arrived in Azerbaijan. That is, the work has begun,” said Amiraslanov.
He added that Azerbaijan has medicinal plants to be used as raw materials.
“Thanks to this, we can also produce many medicines on our own. Thus, we will be able to control both the quality of medicines and their prices," Amiraslanov concluded.
