Azerbaijan-Türkiye trade turnover declines by 4.7% in early 2025

The mutual trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Türkiye for the period of January to May 2025 reached $2.444 billion, marking a 4.7% decrease compared to the same period last year, according to data released by the State Customs Committee.

Exports from Azerbaijan to Türkiye during the first five months of 2025 amounted to $1.432 billion, reflecting a significant decline of 12.9% year-on-year. The export share in Azerbaijan’s total trade dropped from 14.76% in January-May 2024 to 13.01% in 2025, Caliber.Az reports.

Conversely, imports from Türkiye to Azerbaijan rose by 10%, reaching $1.013 billion. However, the import share decreased to 10.16% in the current period, down from 12.61% during the same months in 2024.
