Beijing launches new freight train route to Baku PHOTO

A new China-Europe freight train route connecting Beijing to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, was officially launched on June 30 from the Beijing International Land Port in the city's Fangshan District.

The route utilises a "rail-sea-rail" multimodal transport system, with the shipment set to cross the Caspian Sea by ship before reaching its final destination in Baku

The entire journey is expected to take approximately 15 days.
