The Jerusalem Post: Israeli tourists choose Azerbaijan in growing numbers
The Israeli Tourism Congress held a conference under the name New Map, which revealed impressive data showing that Israeli tourists are increasingly choosing Azerbaijan as a travel destination.
The conference, led by Terranova and the Israeli Tourism Community and hosted by Imri Kalmann, CEO of Terranova, brought together representatives from leading countries, Israeli newspaper The Jerusalem Post reports.
At the event, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Israel, Mukhtar Mammadov, said Israelis lead in tourist numbers visiting Azerbaijan compared to other countries and predicted that this trend will continue.
He highlighted that Azerbaijan Airlines was among the few carriers that continued flights to Israel even during the war, a gesture unlikely to be forgotten by Israeli travellers.
During the conference, Lametayel Vice President for Digital Technologies, Revital Horesh, presented survey results showing that the most popular destinations for Israeli tourists are Japan, Thailand, and Azerbaijan, reflecting a preference for exotic, distant, and unusual locations.
