Azerbaijan, UAE reach deal on exporting animal products
Baku and Abu Dhabi have reached an agreement on exporting animal products following an online meeting between Azerbaijan's Food Safety Agency and the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment.
The meeting focused on a draft memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the fields of animal health and food safety, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Agency.
According to the agency, agreements were reached regarding export certificates for milk, eggs, honey, fish, and meat products from Azerbaijan to the UAE, allowing for the export of these products.
The discussion also covered exports with potential, particularly live animals and meat products.
The sides exchanged views on recognising the equivalence of UAE certification systems and on veterinary certificates for the export of live animals. Other topics of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
