Azerbaijan, Türkiye endorse 110-point economic cooperation agenda

22 December 2025 19:04

Azerbaijan and Türkiye have formally endorsed a 110-point agenda aimed at deepening bilateral economic cooperation.

The agreement follows the 12th session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, held in Baku on December 22 under the co-chairmanship of Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov and Turkish Vice-President Cevdet Yılmaz, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The session addressed a broad spectrum of collaborative priorities, encompassing trade and investment, energy, transport, the development of the Middle Corridor, joint infrastructure projects, as well as humanitarian and educational initiatives.

Energy cooperation was a focal point, including discussions on expanding the Southern Gas Corridor, facilitating Azerbaijani gas exports to Europe and the Middle East, and advancing the Iğdır–Nakhchivan pipeline project. The strategic significance of the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway and the prospective Zangezur Corridor was also underscored.

Upon conclusion, both leaders signed the protocol of the 12th commission session, formalising the 110-point action plan, which delineates the principal directions for sustained and strategic bilateral engagement.
