Azerbaijan-Italy trade turnover falls 2.7% to $7.3 billion
Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with Italy amounted to $7.294 billion in January-July 2026, down 2.7% from the same period a year earlier, according to data from the State Customs Committee, shared with Caliber.Az.
Italy accounted for 24.97% of Azerbaijan’s total foreign trade turnover, remaining the country’s largest trading partner. In January-July 2025, Italy’s share stood at 26%, also ranking first.
Azerbaijan’s exports to Italy fell 2.8% year on year to $6.991 billion during the first seven months of 2026. Italy accounted for 36.16% of Azerbaijan’s total exports, compared with 47.25% in the same period of 2025.
Imports from Italy declined marginally, falling by 0.2% to $302.785 million. Italy’s share of Azerbaijan’s total imports increased to 3.06%, from 2.23% a year earlier.
